When was this album released?

What I’ve liked about this album?

To be honest, what I’ve liked about it, at a first glance, was the album cover. Like every other humanly human, I tend to be superficial like that, from time to time.
There I was, nosing around through the dark matter of the internet in the name of the Search, and suddenly this album appeared with this Lord of The Rings perfect forest zen picture-like looking cover… it struck me momentarily. I just had to find out what lies under the covers, and it was no mistake.

“Illidriel”has this beautiful and rich wall of sound that reminds me of a waterfall. It pours it’s sound over and over, creating this wave of tremendous sonic experience.
If you’re like me and you find Dark Ambient interesting, but you really aren’t a fan of it’s minimalistic approach to sound, give it a go with “Arctica”.

What I hated about this album?

The lack of voices. I would like to hear  a whisper of something like that, just to create  a little bit more intimate, human-like experience. But it’s not necessary.

If this album was a dish, what dish would it be?

Cold dinner.

If this album was a place, where would it be?

Album’s cover says it all.

Perfect setting for this album?

You, a laptop, anywhere where you shouldn’t speak to anyone for an hour. (The length of this one piece record is 59:14)

Is this album more a man or a woman?

A person, an intellectual.

This album can be a drink, too. What drink would it be?

Cold, minimalistic soy latte which you can drink for a long time.

A go-to song from this album?

Ha! This is a good one.

A song from this album that could be turned into a hymn?

It’s getting even better!

Similar albums, similar artists?

Jonn Serrie meets Tim Hecker if that sounds ok with you.

How can this album make your life better?

If you aren’t a fan of this kind of sound, it can’t.
